About The Game
Tropico 4 is an economic strategy video game developed by Bulgarian studio Haemimont Games and published for Mac by Feral Interactive. As in the first and third parts, the game focuses on the main game unit – the so-called El President, who is identified with the player, and on whose behalf all instructions are given during the game. El Presidente can be “customized” at your discretion before the start of each level, choosing the features of his behavior that affect the national economy and international relations. You can also choose ready-made characters from the list of local historical leaders, such as, for example, Che Guevara and Fidel Castro.
A feature of the new part was the ability to hire a five-member government through a new structure – an industry department. The game was supplemented with tasks that appear in random places on the island and, when completed, add points to the player; however, many of the tasks are optional.
Also now, in addition to relations with the USSR and the United States, it is possible to establish relations with the Middle East, China and European states. Relations with them will depend on various kinds of requests that the ambassadors will demand.
