How to Download & Install Fallout 2 Mac Game

Click the Download link below, you should already have installed a download client on your system.
Notification will pop and say “that our site wants to open this application”. Click OK so it will open the client to let the download begin and wait for it to finish.
Once the game Fallout 2 for Mac is done downloading:
1. Mount the .dmg image;
2. Create a new folder “Fallout 2”;
3. Transfer the contents of the image to the “Fallout 2” folder;
4. Move the “Fallout 2” folder to the “Applications” folder;
5. Launch from Launchpad.

Possible problems and their solutions”:
If you do not have Gatekeeper disabled:
1. Open a terminal;
2. In the terminal, enter the command “xattr -cr” (without parentheses, put a space after the command);
3. Move the “Fallout 2.app” file there so that you get “xattr -cr /Applications/Fallout\ 2/Fallout\ 2.app”;
4. Press Enter.

The game runs in windowed mode by default. Launch in full screen mode:
1. Open the “Fallout 2” folder and find the “f2_res.ini” file;
2. Open using TextEdit;
3. Find the line “Set WINDOWED=1 to enable windowed mode.”;
4. Change the parameter to WINDOWED=0;
5. Save using the keyboard shortcut cmd+s.

For a better gaming experience and correct game rendering, it is recommended to lower the resolution to 640×480. To do this:
1. Open the “Fallout 2” folder and find the “f2_res.ini” file;
2. Open using TextEdit;
3. Find the line “Set the Fullscreen resolution here.”;
4. Change the parameters to SCR_WIDTH=640 and SCR_HEIGHT=480;
5. Save using the keyboard shortcut cmd+s.
