About The Game

You are Geralt of Rivia, and you are a witcher. This means you hunt monsters for money. You were trained in this profession until you became one of the best, and given mutagenic elixirs that hardened your body.

You suffer from amnesia and remember nothing about your past. Kaer Morhen, the last stronghold of the witchers, was attacked by unknown assailants just as you arrived to lick your wounds. The attack was repelled, but the recipe for the mutagen, which is used to create fighters like you, was stolen by the attackers. The surviving witchers go in search of the missing recipe, vowing to brutally punish the sacrilege. Despite your memory loss, you join the hunt.

The events of the game take place in the dark world of the fantastic Middle Ages, subtly reminiscent of modernity. This distinguishes The Witcher from most other role-playing games with a similar plot. With a gripping story, varied characters, and many challenging choices that will determine the outcome of events, this game will keep you glued to your screen until you finish it!
