About The Game

The story of The Cave is based on the magical interweaving of a cave with a labyrinth containing many different tunnels. Seven characters, taken from different time and space, enter the cave, believing they can learn something about themselves and who they could become. For example, the character is a knight, looking for a cherished amulet, on his way he meets a princess who is guarded by a dragon and who has the amulet he needs. Instead of saving the princess, the knight tricks the dragon into eating the princess and obtaining the long-awaited amulet when the dragon coughs it up.

At the beginning of the game, the player chooses three of seven characters, who are locked up throughout the game; players can recreate the game to select three other characters. The characters are based on stereotypical figures, such as a redneck, a couple of orphans (walking as one character), and a scientist.

The player controls the characters, explores the cave, collects items and interacts with the environment, all of which add up to a sense of adventure.
